Introducing FrameDB
September 18, 2026 · Rico
I’m excited to announce the launch of FrameDB, a community-powered platform for documenting how games perform on the upcoming Steam Frame.
FrameDB covers both:
- Traditional flatscreen games
- Standalone VR games
Players can submit real-world performance reports, share their settings and experiences, and help others understand what runs well—or what may need a little extra work.
As the Steam Frame reaches more players, community testing will be essential. Store listings and minimum requirements only tell part of the story; FrameDB is designed to capture what games are actually like to play on the hardware.
Help build the database
FrameDB is brand new, so every contribution counts. Once you get your hands on a Steam Frame, submit your results and help create a useful resource for the entire community.
Whether a game runs flawlessly, needs adjusted settings, or doesn’t work at all, we want to hear about it.
Features to come
- User Preferences (Show/Hide Adult Games)
- API
- Non-steam Games
